Sunderland West End/The Jolly Potters.

Sunderland West End were formed in 2006 known as The Jolly Potters, who played in the Wearside Combination League. They quickly got established in Division 1 finishing Runners up and being promoted.

In the first season of being in the Premier Division they got off to A flyer which lead them to the League Title, in the 2008/2009 season. This season also brought them the biggest trophy of them all, They Alan Hood Memorial Trophy. The Jolly Potters certainly suffer from second season syndrome, as they went on to claim they league title again in the 2009/2010 season. Also They Alan Hood Cup Trophy returned to the Jolly Potters for a second season in a row.

In the 3rd season of 2010/2011 season The Jolly Potters claimed there 3rd successive league title in a row, in a dramatic play off involving themselves and Hendon. Unforunatly Hendon managed to stop them taking the Alan Hood Memorial Trophy for the 3rd season in a row by beating them in an outstanding cup final. The Jolly Potters did manage to take they Challange cup from this season.

In 2011, They Jolly Potters merged with Houghton Town and become Sunderland West End and were approved for the Wearside League, to play at a Semi-Professional level.
